Dooley and my aunt need prayers. I just received an email from her. Dooley is getting operated on right now. All I know is that he was still not getting better and today they did more tests on him. They did a barium enema and there is a section of the bowel that is not right. Not sure what was not right about it but he is getting operated on right now.

I am so sorry for Dooley. I will pray for him too. May this surgery provide answers to what's been making him so ill, and help him get back on the road to recovery.

Dooley is out of surgery: My aunts email to me - I don't know many details but he is resting comfortably thank you all.

The surgery is over and he is resting comfortably, It was a bad infection as my vet suspected. No sign of a foreign object or tumor. Took a biopsy but does not look like there is any cancer. He said he is still not out of the woods but doing better. I just can't believe how fast this came on. I'll let you know anything as soon as I know. Keep him in your prayers!

Update on Dooley . The vet called my aunt this morning and said no one had examined him yet but he was sitting up and wagging his tail this morning. That alone is a big improvement. The infection was in his intestine but it looks like he is going to be ok.

that is good news...that the surgeon found the source of the infection. Also great to hear that Dooley was in good spirits this morning!
